Let me share my personal experience with you. Two years ago, I chose the word "passion" because I was feeling disconnected from my teaching career. I created a keychain with the word and put it somewhere I would see it every day. I journaled about times I felt passionate and took steps towards aligning my life with my passions. This simple practice helped me identify where I wanted to go and kept me on a path of passion throughout the year.

That year, I started a kids yoga business and started teaching at a dance studio and afterschool program.  I felt so much passion in my life.

Two years ago, I decided to embrace the word "shine." I was ready to let my light shine and share my passions with the world. I created art with the word, made affirmations, and had it displayed in my office as a constant reminder. It guided me towards growth and stepping into my true potential.

During that year, I found my voice and was able to write a chapter in two book collaborations as well as publish my own journal with all of the mindfulness practices that keep me embodied and present in my life.

Where intention goes, energy flows.

Now, it's your turn to discover the power of choosing a word of the year. Start by exploring what resonates with you and what you want to invite into your life. It could be a quality, a feeling, or a direction you want to move in. Experiment with different words and see what feels right for you. Once you've chosen your word, find creative ways to incorporate it into your daily life. Write it in your planner, create artwork, make affirmations, and repeat it to yourself throughout the day.
