My steps to lessen the overwhelm so I can dream BIG!
I'm a dreamer, and I love dreaming BIG!

With that said though, I often get stuck in my own head with worries and fears that don't even exist.

Once I learned to pay attention to where my energy was going, it helped me realize that the overwhelm would come in waves so I need to play with it until I let go of the fear of stepping out when paralyzed by fear.

Now when things feel overwhelming or if my mind goes into overdrive with worry about what could happen tomorrow (or worse). . . today...I take time to breathe or meditate while feeling safe and loved.

When you take care of yourself first you're able to take care of others and make yourself happy doing it!

Good sleep hygiene leads me to my dreams.

You probably have a lot of things on your plate that are important to you, and sleep hygiene is just one part of the big picture.

But here's what I've found: when I don't get enough sleep, my dreams aren't as big.

When I'm not well rested and refreshed, it's harder for me to imagine all the cool things I want in life—and even if I do manage to dream big, those dreams often seem too overwhelming or impossible for someone like me.

But when I'm well rested and ready for a new day?

Those dreams become attainable again!

As long as there's still an opportunity for improvement in your life (and there always is), there will be room for more dreaming.

Realize that the overwhelm will come in waves.

There are moments when I feel like I can do anything, and there are times when I don't even have the ability to act on *this* task at hand.

It has taken me some time to realize that these moments of paralysis with fear are part of the process of stepping out into my dreams.

If I didn't have those moments, then perhaps I would be too confident with what is possible and not open enough to seeing what may be more than what my imagination can create right now.

I am learning how to play with it until I can let go of my fear of stepping out when paralyzed with fear, so that one day soon—when it's time for me to leave my comfort zone—I'll be able to say "Yes!"

Take time to breathe, meditate or journal daily while feeling safe and loved.

There are times when we just need to get away from the world for a little bit.

We have so many things on our plate that sometimes it's hard to find a quiet moment where you can slow down, breathe and just exist.

I've found that this is one of the most important steps in my journey towards having an abundant mind and body because it gives me the chance to clear my head, relax my body and get back into alignment with my inner self.

Whether you decide to take a walk outside in nature or go sit quietly somewhere indoors like your bedroom or bathroom (yes, I've done this), making sure that at least once per day you get some time alone will help clear all those thoughts out of your head so they don't continue festering there!

Pick a few moments a day to realize what makes me feel truly ALIVE.

The first thing I did was to realize that my problem wasn't a lack of sleep. I was getting plenty of rest!

The problem was that I wasn't waking up ready for anything.

As it turns out, feeling alive is something you can plan for. You don't have to wait for the week of vacation or the weekend at home (although those are awesome too).

You can reach a place where you feel genuinely energized and aware every day—and sometimes in just a few moments!

I needed to ask myself: What makes me feel truly ALIVE?

What do I love doing so much that it would make me want to get out of bed even if my alarm didn't go off?

It turned out this answer wasn't what I expected at all…

Give myself permission to not accomplish everything all at once.

I have a tendency to think that I must accomplish everything on my to-do list, all at once.

This can be overwhelming, especially when you don't know where to start.

So why do we feel like we need to do everything right away?

As an entrepreneur, I often get caught up in the idea of being able to work on multiple projects at once and trying to juggle them all while staying productive.

But really—is this how we want our lives lived?

For example, last month I wanted/needed more time for myself and less time working on my business ventures.

In order for this goal to happen smoothly (i.e., without feeling like I'm missing out), I made sure that there were no deadlines or commitments coming up during these free days off!

This allowed me the freedom and space needed so that when it came time again later down the road when things got busy again with work projects, it wouldn't feel as overwhelming because I already knew what was coming up next week: nothing!

When you take care of yourself first you're able to take care of others and make yourself happy doing it.

Taking time out for yourself daily is crucial.

This includes sitting down with a cup of tea and enjoying the view outside or meditating in nature while listening to soothing music.

If you don't have time in your schedule, feel free to do this while cooking dinner or even while waiting at the dentist office!

I highly recommend journaling as a way to process emotions and gain perspective on what's going on inside your head (and heart).

It's one thing writing about your life when everything is going well; however, learning how important it is for us all that we write about those challenging times too so we can become better equipped for handling them when they arise again later down the line.

You may also want to consider this question: "What does happiness mean for me?"

The answer will likely be different from person-to-person based upon their own values & beliefs but whatever yours happens to me please remember not every day will go perfectly smooth sailing so don't beat yourself up over small slip ups along the way because they happen - even if they are rare.

As you can see, I am still working on this journey of self-love and empowerment.

However, I'm excited to say that my journey has led me to a place where I feel empowered to pursue my dreams even when the overwhelm is trying to stop me in my tracks.
